The short answer
Line 1 → Line 3 → Exit C → about 300 metres on foot.
Take Metro Line 1 from Hangzhou East Railway Station. Change to Line 3 at West Lake Cultural Square Station, get off at Xiangji Temple Station and use Exit C. From there, the homestay is about an eight-minute walk.
Hangzhou East Railway Station
Follow the signs for Metro Line 1.
After leaving your train, follow the station signs marked “Metro”. Map apps may show different entrances depending on where you leave the railway station, so use the signs nearest to you.
Begin this route at Hangzhou East Railway Station on Metro Line 1.
West Lake Cultural Square
Change to Metro Line 3 inside the station.
Get off at West Lake Cultural Square Station and follow the signs for Line 3. You normally do not need to leave the paid area.
Take Line 3 to Xiangji Temple Station.
Xiangji Temple Station
Use Exit C, then follow four simple landmarks.
About 300 metres · around 8 minutes
- Walk along Xiangji Temple Road.Continue straight from Exit C.
- Cross at the traffic lights.At the junction of Xiangji Temple Road and Lishui Road, cross the road at the lights.
- Walk through Xiangji Temple Square.Continue across the open square in front of the temple area.
- Turn right into the second lane.Walk about another 80 metres to reach the homestay entrance.
Arrival
Look for the white façade and our sign.
The final lane section is about 80 metres. This is part of the total walk of about 300 metres from Exit C—not an additional 300 metres.
